Gothic Basin
The trail to Gothic Basin is very steep in some places, and just steep in others. It branches off from the Monte Cristo Road at twin bridges, about 1 mile down the road. This was the first time I had hiked it in the spring, when there was still quite a bit of snow, making the trip all the more difficult. But, it paid off.
If you can believe it, the color of this pool was even more intense in person.
