Cascade Pass

Back

Cascade Pass was first used as a trade route between Native Americans on the eastern and western sides of the Cascades. In the 1890's a plan was formulated to build a road over the pass. Luckily, money ran out before this could be accomplished, and people recognized that the beauty of this area should be protected. Cascade Pass is now located in the North Cascades National Park.
Hunting is not permitted inside the National Park. For the most part the animals go about their business even with people nearby.
